45 days to move from turning the question over to testing real answers. For senior managers, directors and executives deciding what comes next.
From the outside your career looks fine. From the inside you've been weighing the same question for months: stay, move, change direction or something else entirely. Every option has a case for it, which is why none of them gets chosen. Thinking it through alone has a ceiling, and most people hit it some time ago.
The Career Clarity Sprint replaces more thinking with structured work. We start by diagnosing what's actually in the way: missing information, unclear criteria, or a decision you've already made and haven't admitted. Then we build the criteria for your next move, narrow the options, and test the most promising ones in the real world through conversations, research and small experiments. You do the work. We direct it and give you a candid outside view at every step.
It's strategic counsel, not a personality quiz or a pep talk. Our method was developed over more than 3,000 career moves and draws on Ian Christie's years directing graduate career programs at UBC Sauder and running executive searches.
How it works
Before we start: a short reflection intake and the Next Move Diagnostic
Kickoff and Diagnosis (90 minutes): where you are, what's in the way, and the options on the table
Your Sprint Brief, within 48 hours: your question, your criteria so far and the plan for testing your options, on one page
Three working sessions (60 minutes each): sharpening the criteria, debriefing what you've learned and narrowing the field
Up to four reviews: written or video feedback on your options map, criteria, outreach messages or career story
Two Quick Calls (15 minutes): for when a conversation changes the picture
Your Sprint Wrap, at the end: where you've landed, the reasoning behind it, and the next step
What we can focus on
What you want: impact, reward, fulfilment and life fit
What you're good at, and where it counts most
Your options, including staying and redesigning your current role
Testing options: who to talk to, what to ask and what to look for
How to explain the direction you choose, to others and to yourself
The risks of each path, and what's worth testing before you commit
Materials we can review: options map · decision criteria · outreach to people in roles you're exploring · notes from exploratory conversations · career story · decision summary
Also included: the Clarity Toolkit [decision criteria worksheet, options map, Week 0 reframe videos] · 90 days of access to our career platform
A good fit if you're a senior manager, director or executive who is successful, experienced and stuck on what comes next, and you're ready to spend six weeks doing something about it rather than thinking about it.
Here is what we control and what we don't. We can't make the decision for you, and we won't. We can make sure you make it with better information, clearer criteria and an honest outside view.
Details: 45 days from your kickoff session. One extension of up to two weeks is available on request. All sessions one to one, by video. Entirely confidential. Questions between sessions are handled in your next session or a Quick Call. Need more time together? Add an extra session within your Sprint.
Credit: Already had a Career Clarity Session or Roadmap with us? You pay the difference. If you continue into the Next-Level Role Program within 30 days of your Sprint ending, half your Sprint fee counts toward it.
Not sure a Sprint is the right fit? Start with a Career Clarity Session. It counts in full toward your Sprint.
After more than a decade of organic career advancement, I decided to re-enter the job market and quickly realized I needed clarity on which direction to take, strategy to get me to my next professional destination, and guidance to support me along the way.
By putting in the work and following Ian’s system, I went from a place of uncertainty to interviewing confidently within a matter of months.
Four months into my new position and I couldn’t be happier. I would not be where I am today without the support of the Bold Career Project. I highly recommend Ian and his team to anyone feeling stagnant in their career and looking to make a meaningful transition.
